  1. Browning X-Bolt Mountain Pro Tungsten/ Burnt Bronze

A step up from the popular X-Bolt rifle, Browning’s new Mountain Pro model is a top of the range option, which boasts a slick tungsten and burnt bronze finish. Featuring a foam-filled carbon fiber stock, this model is around ¼ of a pound lighter than its predecessors. The new-look spiral barrel facilitates a unique lapping process, which improves accuracy. The Mountain Pro is versatile, offering an array of ammunition options from the 6.8 Western to the 300 RUM. 

  1. Ruger PC Carbine Chassis Model

An updated version of the best-selling Ruger PC Carbine, this new Chassis model makes the rifle even more versatile. Already a popular choice for sports, self-defense and survival strategies, the Chassis model offers a Picatinny rail above the receiver, an adjustable buttstock, both side charging handle positioning and an aluminum M-lock float tube.

Nosler has updated the Mountain Carbon Rifle for 2021 adding two new chamberings to the 2019 release, the 6.5 PRC and the .280 Ackley Improved. This gun is based on Nosler’s Model 48 Action. Key features include the 24-inch Light Sendero Contour, carbon-fiber, cut-rifled barrel and a glass aluminum column. Accuracy is improved with the Timney trigger and buyers can choose from shale-gray or the traditional green colorway.

Savage has come up with an array of new guns for 2021, with the 110 Ultralight one of the standout models. Weighing just under 6 lbs, this gun lives up to its name. As well as being light and easy to handle, the Savage 100 Ultralight also boasts an adjustable Accutrigger, a melonite-coated receiver and a detachable magazine box. The Proof Research barrel combines with a blueprinted 100 receiver. There is a choice of ammunition and buyers can opt for a gray or camouflage finish. 

  1. Mossberg Patriot LR Hunter

The latest addition to the well-known Patriot line, the LR Hunter offers additional features that are designed to enhance accuracy at long range. The eye-catching Monte Carlo-style stock is more ergonomic than standard Patriot models and this rifle also offers a broader bench-rest fore-end with additional space for connecting a bipod. Despite its robust design, the LR Hunter is surprisingly light at 6.5-7.5 lbs. The adjustable trigger is the same as other Patriot models and there is a choice of four chamberings.
